THE AIRBUS A320 SIMULATOR.

A Level D Full Motion Airbus A320 simulator in Orlando, designed to replicate the flight deck and systems of a real airliner.

Can you fly an Airbus A320 simulator in Orlando?

Yes. Orlando Pilot Experience offers a private two-hour session in an Airbus A320 Level D Full Motion Simulator. It is $800 total for one or two people, and no flying experience is needed.

Why the Airbus A320?

The A320 family is one of the most widely flown airliner types in the world, operated by airlines on short and medium-haul routes. If you have flown on a holiday or business trip, there is a good chance you have sat behind an A320 flight deck.

Our simulator gives you the chance to see that flight deck from the other side of the door — and to take the controls yourself.

Inside the A320 flight deck

The sidestick

Instead of a traditional control yoke, the A320 is flown with a sidestick beside each pilot seat. It is part of Airbus's fly-by-wire design, where pilot inputs are sent electronically to the flight control computers.

Thrust levers

The thrust levers on the centre pedestal control engine power. Your pilot will explain how they are used during takeoff, climb and approach.

Primary flight and navigation displays

The glass cockpit screens show attitude, airspeed, altitude and heading, alongside the navigation picture. Your briefing explains what each display is telling you.

Overhead panel and systems

Above your head sit panels for the aircraft's systems. Aviation enthusiasts can explore these in more depth during the briefing.

What flying the simulator involves

Your time in the simulator is guided by an experienced pilot, who explains each phase of flight as you go — from preparing the aircraft to flying it and bringing it back down.

Practice a takeoff and landing at your home airport or a famous airport from anywhere around the world! Or, try your hand at inflight emergencies the possibilities are endless.

Level D Full Motion

This is a Full Motion Simulator, so the movement you feel supports what you see through the windows and on the instruments. It is a professional environment rather than an arcade-style attraction.
